Our vision on
sustainability
and positive impact

What we do

Sustainable cloud starts with visibility.

Modern cloud environments are powerful, but complexity comes at a cost. Idle resources, outdated workloads and oversized clusters consume energy, inflate budgets and grow your carbon footprint. With regulations like CSRD tightening and energy prices rising, sustainable IT is a business necessity.

That is why we put sustainability at the heart of what we do. Not as a checkbox, but as an integrated part of modern cloud operations. By bringing energy and efficiency metrics related to your company’s footprint into your monitoring stack, we help uncover hidden waste and turn insights into measurable impact. No jargon, no greenwashing, just clear steps, honest progress, and meaningful improvements in energy efficiency and effectiveness.

In 2022

We launched our first positive impact initiative by planting trees. The results of this project are shown on the right. Scroll down to discover the many initiatives that followed.

Take a look at what we've been working on

Planting trees, reducing CO2

In 2022, we took our first step toward reducing our impact by planting 34 trees, helping offset part of our CO₂ footprint and reducing an estimated 850 kg of CO₂ annually.

Supporting marine research

We support the Rugvin Foundation in its research on porpoises and marine life in the Oosterschelde. Using AI to analyze underwater sounds, the project helps improve our understanding and protection of marine ecosystems.

Turning donated IT into sports opportunities

We supported IT4Kids by donating IT equipment and funds, including 20 notebooks, printers, monitors, and a phone raising €1,450 to help create accessible sports opportunities for children facing financial or physical barriers.

Caring for our local community

We created Christmas arrangements and donated them to two care homes in Baarn, bringing a small gesture of warmth during the holiday season.

Cleaning the coast

After celebrating our 20-year anniversary at the coast, we cleaned the beach at Wijk aan Zee, collecting around 120 kilograms of waste.

Preparing community gardens for winter

We volunteered at Volkstuinvereniging Baarn, clearing weeds and tidying plots to prepare the gardens for winter and the next growing season.

Encouraging conscious energy use

During an internal hackathon, we explored sustainable concepts using Home Assistant, turning real-time energy data into clear insights that help make energy use more visible and actionable.

Helping fund life saving research

We supported the ItsME Foundation by sponsoring and participating in Golf with ME, a fundraising event for meningitis and encephalitis research. Together with all participants and sponsors, an incredible €72,000 was raised to support scientific research, raise awareness, and help those affected.

Understanding our impact

Understanding our own impact starts with measuring it. In our 2024 greenhouse gas emissions report, we transparently document our footprint across scopes 1, 2, and 3, based on internationally recognized standards.

This report provides insight into where our emissions come from today and helps guide the decisions we make for tomorrow, from reducing our emissions to embracing long term environmental responsibility.

Measuring our carbon footprint is only the first step. We use these insights to continuously reduce our environmental impact and drive ongoing improvement year after year.
